SemaSpace is a tool for 2d- and 3d-visualization of network-like organized data. This can be semantic networks but also social network structures and much more. Beside text fragments also image datas can be integrated into the network. On this evening different questions will be considered like the differences between SemaSpace and other tools like Pajek. Furthermore specific examples, e. g. semantic networks of the Ars Electronica and linked image datas of diagrammatic questions and term analysis on the subject “atmospheres-design” will be presented and discussed.

Dietmar Offenhuber is key researcher at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Media.Art.Research and professor at the University of Arts Linz. He is a founding member of Ars Electronica Futurelab, studied architecture at the TU Vienna and Media Arts and Sciences at the MIT Media Lab.

Gerhard Dirmoser works as system analyst in Linz and has been involved in researching the art field for 20 years. SemaSpace has been used for several studies since 2005.
