For the third time, the quitch welcomes “Salon Wiesengrund”, a discussion format between art and philosophy, founded by Theresa Luise Gindlstrasser and Stephan Blumenschein in December 2010.
In this salon Galia Stadlbauer-Baeva speaks about media strategies for making migration visible, as well as about concepts of the arbitrary presentation of migration and integration. Which images tell us about migration? What do provocative and provoking counter-drafts look like? Is resistance possible? Is resistance necessary? Do we have to talk about heteronormativity and oppositional perspectives being mutually dependent? And above all, what about self-determination?
Galia Stadlbauer-Baeva studied philosophy and art studies at the Catholic Theological Private University in Linz, works at maiz and is now doing media culture and art theories.
