Urban Gardening projects are booming. Participatory urban greening as far as the eye can see, urban agriculture and sustainability are on everyone’s lips. Without a doubt, once maintained in hippie communes ideals as rural self-sufficiency, it nowadays has become fancy in city centres too.

qujOchÖ expands the subject and contrasted the discourse about the green reconquest of meta hemer anthropotopes with a “non-place” in the broadest sense: in the urban back yard of quitch in Linz an artificial bog-swamp thing as experimentation field has been created. Apart from various plantbreeding-experiments and studying the acoustic properties, the Swamp Thing is used as a stage for lectures, concerts and screenings.
