Toydeath from Sydney, founded in 1995, produce their mixed and pulpy electronic music exclusively from generated sounds of tortured toys. By reusing electronic toys and creating energetic explosions of a rock’n’roll chaos this Australian trio knows that you don’t have to play by the rules to have fun. Using their noisy utilities they extract elements of sounds which are used by kids to terrorize their parents. These 8 bit instruments provide those forms of brassy distortions and interferences for which bands like Nine Inch Nails or Marilyn Manson would sell their souls. Overall that sounds somehow like Sigue Sigue Sputnik on Tamagotchi.
Beside that Toydeath loves to perform as changing toy characters in colorful costumes, e. g. as GiJoe, L’Booby, Nursey or invulnerable Barbie. Let’s fuck around.
