qujOchÖ places its text work in the dis­play win­dow of the quitch as an inter­ven­tion: NA UND (SO WHAT). This incon­spic­u­ous link­ing word becomes a pic­ture, a con­vey­or of sig­nif­i­cance, a poten­tial con­ver­sa­tion opener.

The muse­um is not much. Not a build­ing AND not a col­lec­tion AND not an exhi­bi­tion AND not a sci­en­tif­ic lab­o­ra­to­ry AND not a work­shop AND not a work­place AND not a meet­ing point AND. The posi­tion­ing of qujOchÖ’s work points out the essen­tial destruc­tion of the var­ied func­tions of the con­tem­po­rary muse­um. At the same time it appears to be a curi­ous ques­tion to the vis­i­tors, as a wel­come or farewell: “SO WHAT? What are you expect­ing?” or “SO WHAT? How was it?” or “SO WHAT? What the hell I am doing here?”

qujOchÖ, born 2001 in Linz, Aus­tria, lives in Linz and is not an assis­tant at the Insti­tute of Fine Arts and Cul­tur­al Stud­ies  at the Art Uni­ver­si­ty Linz.
